have been active in Churchdown since 1966, putting on a mix of comedies, dramas, whodunnits and thrillers. We have won awards for our acting prowess, as well as stage set design & construction. We pride ourselves on our reputation for producing good quality shows for our audiences.

We will be holding some more playreading evenings on 4 Thursdays in July, at St John’s hall Churchdown. 7:30pm in the small hall.

TABLE MANNERS
After our May production, we held a read through and auditions for our 11-15 November production of Alan Ayckbourn’s dramatic comedy, TABLE MANNERS. We have now cast the play and rehearsals will begin in August. Tickets will be on sale in October
Table Manners is part of The Norman Conquests trilogy.

Come and join us if you are over 18 and love the theatre, there are many ways to be involved, not only acting, but backstage requires special skills too:
Set Design * Carpentry * Costumes * Props * Lighting * Sound * Prompt * Painting
Front of House during show week also requires a team of friendly smiling faces.

Our productions are for 5 nights and always start on the second Tuesday of May and on the second Tuesday of November, running through to the Saturday.
Rehearsals usually take place on a Thursday with some Monday evenings depending on the number of rehearsals required. A rehearsal schedule will be issued specifically for each show.
Alternatively, if you’re not looking to be involved in productions but would still like to support the society, you can become an associate member and benefit from the society newsletter, social events and priority booking for each production.
