have been active in Churchdown since 1966, putting on a mix of comedies, dramas, whodunnits and thrillers. We have won awards for our acting prowess, as well as stage set design & construction. We pride ourselves on our reputation for producing good quality shows for our audiences.

TABLE MANNERS

Rehearsals are now well under way for our November production of the domestic comedy, TABLE MANNERS by Alan Ayckbourn. Tickets will be on sale on to the public on Monday 6 October.

In this play, Annie has arranged to spend an illicit weekend with her sister Ruth’s husband Norman, and for this reason, suitably disguised, has asked her elder brother Reg and his wife Sarah to look after their widowed mother and the house. As it happens the seduction, thought or planned, by each of the six characters never takes place either.

Table Manners is part of The Norman Conquests trilogy.

Come and join us if you are over 18 and love the theatre, there are many ways to be involved, not only acting, but backstage requires special skills too:
Set Design * Carpentry * Costumes * Props * Lighting * Sound * Prompt * Painting
Front of House during show week also requires a team of friendly smiling faces.

Our productions are for 5 nights and always start on the second Tuesday of May and on the second Tuesday of November, running through to the Saturday.

Rehearsals usually take place on a Thursday with some Monday evenings depending on the number of rehearsals required. A rehearsal schedule will be issued specifically for each show.

Alternatively, if you’re not looking to be involved in productions but would still like to support the society, you can become an associate member and benefit from the society newsletter, social events and priority booking for each production.
